Which Horror? - Dustin Vado
Which horror
Stops the heart?
Pentagrams
Drawn in blood and cadavers,
Gallons of corn syrup
Bleeding from silver screens,
Clowns with 8 rows of teeth
Tempting children to play
Hide and seek,
And spirits possessing
A household to eat its tenants
Are merely a blindfold
To keep out true darkness.
No budget
Can break a glass jaw
Like sick family,
Vindictive government,
Or a power outage.
No love
Floats in black rivers,
Only hollow vessels
At the end of aging.
Trembling,
Nerves shot,
Awaiting the mortal scream
Knowing any breath
Could be the last.
